Afuganisu-tan illustrates the modern history of Afghanistan and its neighboring countries, starting from the imperialist era in the 19th century, through moe anthropomorphism. The title character, a short and clumsy bishōjo, is a national personification of Afghanistan. Other female characters personify the nearby nations of Central Asia, such as Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Nations that have fought wars in Afghanistan at various times, such as Britain, Russia and the United States also make apearances. The Taliban government and Al-Qaeda terrorist group are also represented in the comic.
Each 4-koma strip is accompanied by an "Afghan Memo" that explains in prose some of the background and history of the nations depicted. Additional pages give short biographies of the characters.

Dungeons & Dragons is a structured yet open-ended role-playing game. Typically, each player controls only a single character. As a group, these player characters (PCs) are often described as a "party" of adventurers, often each with his or her own areas of specialized talents. During the course of play, each player directs the actions of his or her character and its interactions with the other characters in the game. A game often continues over a series of meetings to complete a single adventure, and longer into a series of related gaming adventures, called a "campaign."
The results of the party's choices and the overall storyline for the game is determined by the Dungeon Master (DM) according to the rules of the game and the DM's interpretation of those rules. The DM selects and describes the various non-player characters (NPCs) the party encounters, the settings in which these interactions occur, and the outcomes of those encounters based on the players' choices and actions. The game's extensive rulesâ€â€which cover diverse subjects such as social interactions, magic use, combat, and the effect of the environment on PCsâ€â€help the DM to make these decisions. The Dungeon Master may choose to deviate from the published rules or make up new ones as he feels necessary.
The most recent versions of the game's rules are detailed in three core rulebooks: The Player's Handbook, the Dungeon Master's Guide, and the Monster Manual. A Basic Game boxed set contains abbreviated rules to help beginners learn the game.
The only items required to play the game are the rulebooks, a character sheet for each player, and a number of polyhedral dice. The current editions also assumes the use of miniature figures or markers on a gridded surface; items that were optional in earlier editions. Many other items are available to enhance the game, some of the most popular being optional expansion rulebooks, pre-designed adventures and campaign settings.

Itsuki "Ikki" Minami, is a student and a delinquent. M×0 centers around a young man named Taiga Kuzumi who has a hot-headed temper and is able to hold his own in a fight. During an interview to determine if he can attend Seinagi Private High School that he had plans of joining, Taiga is asked what he would do if he could use magic. "Take over the world" is his reply and it is quickly followed by an outburst of laughter from a very cute girl. Upon confronting the girl, she realizes how rude it was of her to laugh at his answer and tries to apologize, ultimately grasping his hands with tears in her eyes. After that point, he does not remember much else about the interview, but one thing he cannot change: he failed to enter the school. Blaming the girl for his failing to enter the school, he goes to Seinagi to confront her about it, when a teacher mistakes Taiga for a student ditching class and pulls him through some type of strange energy barrier that surrounds the school. Without realizing what has just happened, he has set foot on a school dedicated to teaching its students how to use magic, though the shock of his first encounter with it freaks him out so much that he tries to get away from the teacher as fast as he can, effectively convincing the latter that he is a suspicious person. After a confrontation where he is hit with a rather odd spell, he is able to tie the teacher up and run away. Unfortunately, he gets into some more trouble with some upperclassman and during this time is surprised to have found the girl from the interview attending the school. His main priority is then changed from merely survival in a strange land to finding this girl and conveying his feelings of romantic attraction to her, which have most suddenly become clear to him.

The art in BioMega is similar to BLAME!, with its complicated concrete sprawl and ludicruously wide, empty spaces. However, things seem to happen at a more reasonable pace. In this manga, there is emphasis on the swiftness of the attacks made by Zouichi, such as the gun being sheathed just before the enemies fall to the ground. Speed is crucial in this manga, unlike in BLAME!, and the plot develops just as quickly.

Set in modern-day Italy, Gunslinger Girl follows the exploits of the Social Welfare Agency (often referred to as simply "the Agency"), ostensibly a charitable institution sponsored by the Italian government. While the Agency professes to aid the rehabilitation of the physically injured, it is actually a military organization specializing in counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism. While peeping up girls' skirts at a local shopping mall, Onizuka meets a girl who agrees to go out on a date with him. Onizuka's attempt to bed her fails when her current "boyfriend," her teacher, shows up at the love hotel they are in and asks her to come back. This teacher is old and unattractive, but she is so under this teacher's power that she leaps from a window two stories up and lands in his arms.
Onizuka, seeing this display of a teacher's power over girls, decides to become one himself, and discovers three important things:
1. He has a conscience and a sense of morality. This means taking advantage of impressionable schoolgirls is out ... but their unusually attractive mothers are a different matter.

Raizo Fuwa is a 25-year-old salaryman living in a cramped home and working in a crowded office in Tokyo. Dragonlance is a large series of fantasy novels, with over 190 novels printed, and is accompanied by a supplemental campaign setting in the Dungeons & Dragons style. It was originally created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman while driving in their car on the way to TSR, Inc. for a job application. At TSR, he met his future partner Margaret Weis, and they gathered a group of associates to play the Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. The adventures during that game became a series of gaming modules that spawned Dragons of Autumn Twilight, the first novel in the Chronicles Trilogy, a core element of Dragonlance. The majority of the novels take place in the various regions of Ansalon, a small continent, though some have taken place on the lesser known continent of Taladas north of Ansalon.
