Plot Summary: Fuu, a 16 year old girl, is searching for an unknown samaruai. The only thing she knows about him is a fragrance of sunflowers surrounding him. In order to fund the trip (and pay a bodyguard) she took a job at a restaurant. Fuu also pinned a 'searching for bodyguard' sign outside the shop. While serving the son of the magistrate and his friends, a swordsman enters. He claims to be her bodyguard (without being asked or accepted) and starts to fight the rude offspring of the magistrate.
Meanwhile a poor man begs the magistrate to stop a building project, because it will ruin him and his family. This nets him the dead penalty, though. He is being dragged away when yet another swordsman appears and rescues him.

Shortly after the two swordsman met and try to kill each other, just for the sake of fighting. In the process the restaurant burns down and the trio ends up on a journey as wanted criminals...
