Ares, Michael, and Baroona are admitted to the Tample Mercenaries through a simple test of skill against rank B soldiers. After passing the test with ease, they enter the same unit in the Mercenary Corp, and intrigued by each others’ skill, they soon became friends. They also met the fourth member of their group, the cowardly artist Gohue, who hides during battle, but is great at drawing. The three warriors soon prove themselves on their first mission, and rise to Rank B (though all three are far better than the Rank A soldiers). The Tample Mercenaries soon get involved in battles on a national scale, where the main characters meet the great Chronosian general (and later king) Icarus. Impressed by their skills, he hires them on another mission to protect him while he goes to attempt to negotiate his way out of a war with Chronos’ western neighbors, the Radink Alliance. The trio’s help is needed when two generals use Icarus’ absence to overthrow the government of Chronos and use Chronosian soldiers to attempt to kill him. After Ares, Baroona, and Michael see Icarus safely back to his own troops, the Tample Mercenaries are hired to stop the usurpation of the throne by defeating the usurper’s army. Though pure genius, Icarus wins the civil war with minimal losses to either side, and then takes both armies to defend Chronos' western border. The former King’s advisors request that Icarus be the new king, and he accepts their offer. In this battle, Icarus once again uses the Tample Mercenaries and brilliant strategy to provide an advantage to his side. Soon, the black knights were all defeated and the presumed red eyes swordsman escaped. Ares and Michael took chase and was astonished to find out that he was not the red eyes swordsman, but his brother. Red eyes swordsman soon appeared and revealed himself to Ares to make him stronger.

Gacha Gacha – Secret
The Secret story arc starts in Japanese volume 6 of Gacha Gacha. It revolves around a malfunction at the Gacha Gacha virtual reality video game, which has since gone retail after the events in the Capsule story arc. The malfunction leaves the main character, an unlucky young man named Akira, transforming into a young girl whenever he sneezes. The body is the tutorial character's body which he was interacting with when the Gacha Gacha game crashed. He later finds out that eating Natto (fermented soybeans) would transform the girl form into a taller and much more buxom form.
Akira uses his newfound body to learn more about women, specifically getting closer and improving his relationship with the girl he is infatuated with.

After avoiding Satan so that she can keep her virginity, she finally gives in. However, she also has to face Amamiya, the school's "prince" and a lot more.

Nineteen-year-old Takashi Amamiya dies after tripping on a bottle but is transported into a body of a cute girl, Akane Hagiwara. Following this, Amamiya goes through various trials and tribulations dealing with, being a girl, getting his body back, and dealing with old and new friends. Despite its repeated use of slapstick comedy, the story sometimes touches on more mature themes such as sexuality and at one point even rape.
Another thing to mention is that compared to Kawashita's popular Ichigo 100%, the genders have seemingly interchanged. Where as the main plot to Ichigo 100% was several girls aiming for one boy, in Akane-chan Overdrive, several guys (and Akane's female best friend) all seem to be attracted to her (or her body, at least).
Though very ecchi at times, Akane-chan Overdrive contains more shōjo elements than Kawashita's later works.

Sakura is the princess of Clow Country, which is ruled by her older brother, King Tōya. Her childhood friend Syaoran is a young archaeologist. Sakura is revealed to have strange powers when she has a vision of a mysterious symbol and places she has never seen. Meanwhile, Syaoran discovers the same symbol at the ruins he is excavating. He sees Sakura standing on the symbol on the ground. Ghostly wings appear on her back and a mysterious force begins to pull her into the walls of the ruins. Syaoran rescues her in time, but her wings are scattered across dimensions. The High Priest of Clow Country, Yukito, immediately realizes that Sakura's "wings" were the manifestation of her soul and memories; without them, she will die. In order to save Sakura, Syaoran must journey to retrieve her wings' feathers, the fragments of her memories.

The series' protagonist, Kimihiro Watanuki (四月一日 君尋 , Watanuki Kimihiro?), is a high school student who is continually plagued by supernatural monsters (youkai) and spirits which are magically attracted to him. The creatures are invisible to all but him, and as a result he feels extremely burdened by them. When he quite literally stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, his life changes drastically.
Within the shop is the seductively beautiful Yūko Ichihara (壱原 侑子, Ichihara Yūko?), a witch of many names and esoteric renown. The seemingly all-knowing witch soon gets down to business: she offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of his ability to see spirits. However, a price equal to the power required to grant the wish must be paid. Yūko discovers that Watanuki is very skilled with his hands and a hard worker. As a result, Watanuki soon finds himself forced to perform housework and odd jobs for Yūko until he has done enough work for his wish to be granted.

The story, which takes place in the fictional medieval empire of Saiunkoku, follows the adventures of Shuurei Kou, a descendant of a noble family that has fallen on hard times. Shuurei teaches in the temple school and works odd jobs to make ends meet, but her dream is to pass the imperial examinations and take a post in government, a path forbidden to women. Shuurei's plans come to an abrupt halt when the Emperor's Grand Advisor makes a startling offer: join the imperial household for six months as the young Emperor's consort, and teach the Emperor to be a responsible ruler. If she succeeds, the financial reward will be great. The story details Shuurei's growing relationships with the Emperor and other members of the court, the intrigues that surround imperial politics, and Shuurei's commitment to better herself and her country.
