Rebirth
Rebirth is the story of a 17th century vampire named Deshwitat L. Rudbich. It follows the first encounters, the fate-bonded relationship and the eventual friendship he builds with a nobleman named Kalutika Maybus II, the son of the man who killed Deshwitat's family. Befriending him their lives become entwined and Deshwitat is given a chance to live among humans and fight alongside Kalutika against a cult attempting to raise the dark god "verakdah". However, a hooded figure of unimaginable power (a being beyond time and space) begins to manipulate events in order to fulfill a destiny preordained by the gods...
Kalutika is pitted against his former friend and ally Deshwitat, and with the help of the hooded-figure, attained Godhood. With near unlimited powers of light, the now "Golden God of light" (Kalutika) kills Deshwitat's loved one, "Lilith" and casts him into limbo for over 300 years...
Now in the present day, Deshwitat seeks to avenge Lilith's death and to destroy Kalutika, while the God seeks to destroy the world. Their paths cross once again and Deshwitat enlists the help of a group of warriors with powerful magic to fight, but finds that he will need to obtain much more power to stand a chance against a God.

The mighty Kingdom of Goguryeo is in the midst of a war which has raged on for decades. In need of talented warriors to help lead their people, O’Rhang Yhun is sent on a mission by his master into enemy territory to find and bring back his eldest brother. However, just as O’Rhang departs on his mission, his master, a renown warrior and general of Goguryeo, passes away. Unfortunately for O’Rhang, his 2nd eldest brother has always been jealous of his martial arts potential and betrays O’Rhang by branding him as a traitor defecting to the enemy. Parasyte centers on a teenage boy named Shinichi Izumi (Shin in the Mixx English version.) He lives with his mother and father in a rather quiet neighborhood when, one night, an alien invasion occurs. The aliens are called Parasites. They are worm-like creatures that enter human "hosts" through their ears or noses, and take over their brains. A Parasite attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear and take over his brain while he sleeps, but is stopped by his headphones and accidentally burrows into one of his hands instead. In the Japanese version, it takes over his right hand and it is named Migi (ミギー, Migii?). In the Mixx English version, it takes over his left hand (because the images in the book are flipped to allow for left-to-right reading) and is named "Lefty."
Because the Parasite infected his hand instead of his brain, Shinichi and Migi each retain their own, separate intellect. This gives them an edge in battling the other Parasites, who see Shinichi's ability to think independently as a threat. Shinichi also feels compelled to fight other Parasites, who kill and eat humans for reasons unknown.

The story revolves around the title character, Karin, the middle child in a family of vampires who immigrated to Japan two centuries earlier. However, Karin is different from the rest of the family in that she produces blood instead of feeding on it; because of this, she has to inject blood by biting someone or else she suffers exaggerated nosebleeds. (In manga and anime nosebleeds are also a metaphor for sexual attraction; as Karin is a coming of age story dealing with her first love, the nosebleed imagery does double-duty.) Because of her unusual condition, Karin lives her life just as an ordinary teenage girl would, despite being considered something of a freak by her family. She is able to venture outside during the day and attend high school, and follows the sleep pattern of normal humans. However, the general peacefulness of her life is disrupted with the arrival of a new transfer student, Kenta Usui.

Tadano Mugi is a 16 year old boy who lives alone, his mother died years ago and his father is always on frequent trips as a photographer. When his first love, Hinako, leaves him for Tokyo, he is understandably heartbroken. Kazuki, Mugi's best friend, invites him to work with him at his aunt's inn, in the hope of helping him shake off his depression. But things take a fateful turn one day when, while at work, he spies on a beautiful girl, Tsukisaki Yuu, changing clothes in an alley behind the inn. Yuu, instead of getting angry, charges him ¥120 (approx. $1.05 USD) for watching her. This isn't the last that he would hear from her, though, as the next day Kazuki sets him up on a blind date with none other than Yuu. They proceed to have a great time, but a great misunderstanding (and a sign of things to come) rears its ugly head when Mugi walks in again on Yuu, this time who is currently having a bath. Later, Kazuki tells him that she's taking the earliest ferry back home, seemingly agitated, Mugi runs to the harbor with the intent of trying to prevent another relationship from being nipped in the bud, she is long gone. Dejected, unsure he would ever see her again, he arrives home to get ready to search for her, only to see Yuu.
